Our kemence artist brings a live interpretation of Black Sea melodies to weddings, horon dancing and private receptions.
Regional repertoire, horon tempo, special pieces and duration are planned with the artist, with microphone setup and soundcheck arranged before the event.

Technical and on-site standards for Kemence Artist
Critical measurements, safety and operational points that determine on-site quality:
Instrument microphone
To preserve the natural tone of the kemenche, microphone level and position are adjusted during soundcheck; the instrument is not played too close to the speaker.
Monitor requirement
When performing on stage with a horon team, the musician needs a monitor level that lets them hear both the dancers' tempo and their own instrument.
Roaming between tables
For restaurant performances, the musician moves along a route that does not conflict with service trays or narrow aisles.
Repertoire tempo
Horon blocks are not kept excessively long back-to-back; guest participation and rest intervals are distributed according to the program flow.
Options that complement Kemence Artist
Related products that can be planned within the same event flow.
A kemence musician is not a dance team; the intent is repertoire and live performance.
PairingOptional with Horon team
If dancers are required, choreography, team size, and floor space must be planned separately.
AreaIndoor / outdoor
Amplification may be needed outdoors for acoustic reach.

Decision matrix
Which model fits which conditions?
Need
Choice
Why?
Welcome / short performance
Solo kemence
A compact solution for small spaces and short music moments.
Horon dance
Kemence + Horon Team
The musician and choreographed dance service are different roles.
Large outdoor area
Kemence + sound support
Wind and distance can reduce acoustic reach.
Long entertainment program
Live band / fasil alternative
A broader repertoire and set structure may be needed instead of one instrument.
→
Implementation flow
Four steps from decision to on-site delivery
1
Choose the use moment
Define whether the role is welcome, horon, stage, or surprise entrance.
2
Share repertoire
Clarify regional style and special-song expectations in advance.
3
Verify sound/area
Check amplification needs for outdoor areas or large halls.
4
Separate the dance team
If horon is required, confirm the dancer team and floor plan separately from the musician.
Operational risksPoints not to miss on site
A kemence musician and a Horon Team should not be treated as the same service.
A fully acoustic outdoor performance may not reach every guest.
A special entrance song or choreography may require rehearsal/cue planning.
